Confession: Airing My Dirty Laundry

Literally. My name is Bianca, it has been 3 weeks since my last confession. Yesterday, I put a load of laundry in the washing machine….and never returned to the laundry room. In fact, I took a nap. (Gasp!) This morning I returned to put another load in and could smell yesterday’s load. It smelled worse than it did before I put it in. Nice. So today I washed them again with Gain and some baking soda, stood by the washing machine until they were finished, (folding last weeks clothes while I waited) and after putting the finished clothes in the dryer, ran an empty load with a cup of vinegar to get rid of the smell. It reminds me of the last lie I told, it took me more work to keep the lie going than to just have been honest in the first place….always something to work on. Recap: I forgot my wash, took a nap and told a lie! Wow, Molly is way ahead of me this week. But between you and I, it was totally worth the nap!

  • Woman, NEVER FORGET YOUR LAUNDRY!!!! I can’t believe it. I am all for the nap, but your poor washing machine. Where is the love?!? It needs to come visit me. I would love it like me own :).

  • Everyone, this is Vicki. She has a wonderful, but slightly co-dependent relationship with her washing machine, that I completely envy. For as long as I’ve known her, she has never missed a load, never gotten behind, and even lovingly washes it with vinegar periodically. And in return, it has faithfully gotten the stains out of football uniforms, stayed up with her until the wee hours of the morning washing that last load, and always gotten her whites extra white.
A lesson to us all: you get out of your washing machine what you put into it.
    Hugs,
