She Continues her Education
I loved the August visiting teaching message, about life long learning. We are in a time where information is readily available. When our children have a question we don’t need to look far for the answers. It is a wonderful time to live. Even still many of the most famous inventors in history looked to nature for answers on how to fly, create electricity, and understand human nature. Using our ability to observe nature and people we can learn so much, if our minds are open to lessons, and answers. When we are teachable, life becomes an open book test. We can hear the whisperings of the Spirit and are able to receive more answers. Which of course creates more questions and the thirst for knowledge and truth increases naturally. When my daughter wanted to learn to knit, we turned to the Internet for video’s on knitting and found this website. www.knittinghelp.com, For answers to my Crochet questions, I go to www.hassdesign.com.
It seems like everyday, my curiosity gets the best of me. I find something new I just have to learn how to do. I have become proficient at finding videos on just about anything. I usually go to youtube.com first. There are many instructional videos there, it is very comprehensive. Then there are my other favorites:
www.ehow.com – formerly known as expert villiage, this website is full of how to videos and instruction sheets.
www.instructables.com – One day I remembered a technique I learned at Micheals for how to make a rose out of duct tape but I couldn’t remember the details. I found them here.
www.wikihow.com – mostly instruction sheets but still very informative.
www.howcast.com – still growing but fun videos.
You can contribute videos and instructions to any of these websites yourself, for people like me who love to learn.
