The Best Financial Advice

The best financial advice I ever received, came too late. I was pregnant with my first child and was getting ready to quit my job and become a stay at home mother and begin really working hard. He told me that his son and daughter in law were about my age. He was working and going to school and she was working too. The whole time they had been married, she worked.  But they didn’t spend a dime of her income. They saved it for when she became a full time mom. They never had a chance to get accustomed to a two income lifestyle. At the same time the were preparing for the future. It is a difficult time to be out of money when you are first married it seems like things are too tight to make that kind of sacrifice but sacrificing what they wanted in the moment for what they wanted inthe future, made things so much better in the end. The had the money to make good financial choices, bought and sold at just the right times. The last time I saw them they lived in a million dollar home and owed less than $25,000 on it. I say that the sacrifice was well worth it.
