Activity: Use the treat for the activity. Try to make cookies without following the recipe. Explain that you know that the recipe says to add only 1 tsp salt but that you like salt and add more. Have a back up batch of the same recipe made by following the instructions exactly and show the difference in taste.
Treat: This is a good time to use your family’s favorite cookie recipe even one that you have had in the family for a long time, so that everyone will understand the object lesson.
