Chapter 34: Developing Our Talents
Thought: Mormonad “Make Something of Yourself”, New Era, Aug. 1993
and object lesson: Show a piece of clay and explain that we can’t just wish this piece of clay into something we want it to be like a pot or a vase, we need to mold it, work on it and eventually it will become the desired shape. This is just like our talents. It takes work and practice and dedication for us to become better at our talents.

Story: “Enoch Builds Zion,” Friend, Oct. 1998.
I love the story of Enoch. It reminds me of what it is like to get a new calling, feeling unsure of yourself, but trying new things anyway and learning and devoping needed skills all along the way. And the end when the City of Enoch is taken up it reminds me of the many things we can do with the help of our Heavenly Father.Or this cute story is really good for younger children.
