Primary Articles of Faith Incentive Programs
It’s that time of year when every primary is figuring out new ways to help the children memorize the Articles of Faith. It is a Faith in God requirement and it truly helps in the development of young testimonies. Definitely a worthy goal. Two of my favorite incentive programs are the Ice Cream Cone and the Key Word Keys.
The Ice Cream Cone is the incentive program where you give them a paper cone to start and for each Article of Faith they memorize you give them a scoop to put on it and then there is an ice cream social for the end of the year where you give each child the number of scoops of ice cream based on the number of Articles of faith they memorized. The Key Word Keys Click Here are based on an article in the 1987 Friend Magazine that has a poem with the key words for each Article of Faith in it. The children learn the poem and play a matching game in sharing time, and then they are given a key for every Article of Faith they memorize.
