Favorite Features in the Friend Magazine
Understanding and Living the Gospel of Christ couldn’t be easier with the help of the Friend Magazine.
In this month’s issue there is a board game, paste it onto a file folder, Add some contact paper, get some dice from the board game section of your local toy store, and you’ve got yourself a fun Sunday Activity.
There is usually “Kitchen Krafts”, a feature with fun, easy recipes for everyone.
“Funstuf ” is a feature that contains word searches quizzes and other fun quiet activities. That, combined with a Sunday hour of quiet time does wonders for Mommy and Daddy.
“Trying to be Like Jesus” is a wonderful feature filled with short paragraphs of children trying to do what is right. It is great for families with young children and very short attention spans. Add a song and a treat and you’ve got a pint size family home evening.
“Sharing Time”, “Coloring Pages” and “Come Listen to a Prophet’s Voice” are all good for primary talks.
“For Little Friends” is a feature that is especially for your younger children, there are usually big pictures and a small amount of text. Always good for a bedtime story.
These are my favorite features in the Friend Magazine. There is also a lot to do online at LDS.ORG. There are games, videos, and stories. Of course you can search the website to find something on just about any topic.
