Magnetic FHE Chart

This is a big project so hang in there. You will Need:
An 8×12 Galvenized flashing shingle (Home Depot or lowes check your local store)
A Pair of work Gloves
Protective Eye Wear
All purpose straight pattern snips  (Home Depot)
A sharpie
A metal file
and a Ruler
A sticker maker pro (optional)

Tools

1. Measure 2 inches down from the top and draw a line across the shingle.
2. Put on your work gloves and goggles, the metal is very sharp
3. Cut across the line. (Your shingle should measure 8×10 when you are finished)
4. Use a metal file to soften the cut edge a little
5. Print out the FHEChart
6. Put the FHE Chart through your sticker maker with a Lamination on top side and adhesive on the bottom side. If you don’t have this don’t worry, instead cover the edges of the flashing shingle with duct tape.
7. Take the paper off the adhesive and lay the chart upside down on a table. Line up the flashing shingle and place on top.

Lay it flat on top of adhesive side of chart

8. Fold in Corners.
9. Slip into the back of your GospelPrinciples FHE Binder (the link includes cover, and dividers, I added matching scrapbook paper to the background. )For those that didn’t use a stickermaker, just layer the flashing shingle then the FHE chart and slip into the sleeve on the back of your binder.

10. Prepare your photos, (1.5 x 1.75 inches) each, and I aged my family photo in photoshop, click here for the link to a photoshop tutorial to show you how.
11. Print your family member photos onto printable magnetic-sheets you can find them at your office supply store or laminate the print out and add magnets to the back. And you are ready to rock and roll!

  • What if my family isn’t that cute?!? What do I do about that? And the project–it looks toooooooo hard. I am tired just from reading the directions :). Hope the rest of your day went well.

  • You are so fun. Like you don’t LOVE a good challenge. And that whole cute thing was photoshop-ed in. What I had to do to my face alone took about 3 hours!! You think I’m kidding. I had to use the burn tool to give myself a little color……nearly had “burn” the whole thing.
    Hugs,

  • I know I haven’t seen you live for awhile, but that is definitely you!! So the answer to a cute family is a good photoshop program and a burn tool. Wow, this is sounding even more complicated. Maybe I should just cut pictures out of a magazine and make up my own family :).

  • My imaginary family wouldn’t complain where their picture got put, that is for sure!!

  • Amen! Thanks for the compliment. I agree, my family is pretty cute. They are definitely keepers that’s for sure. I am so proud of the little people they are growing up to be.
    Hugs,
