Visiting Teaching (January 2011)
One day at BYU, I went to visit a friend in the dorm across the hall. Her roommate was at the table preparing little baskets of RUNTS candy by Wonka for the people she visit taught. I think she used candy cups, and pipe cleaners. When I read this months lesson I remembered that day, and thought about how well the little treat baskets expressed the purposes of Relief Society. I thought of the Relief Society members in 1842, taking baskets of food to their sisters.
For this basket, I used a freebie pattern from Waltzing Mouse Stamps (Click Here) and I printed it “Multiple Pages Per Sheet” to make it even smaller. (For Instructions on how to do that with a PDF file click here.) I printed it on the back of scrapbook paper, cut to letter size. Then, I printed out some Relief Society Logos Click Here and the Fruits of Relief Society (Click Here), cut out a border for each and put it all together with plastic wrap and some ribbon.
What a cute idea, i was looking for some idea, and i came upon yours and ♥ it! thanks for all the instructions.
Thank You. I’m so glad I could help. I was really happy to find a free template for a cute litte basket like this one. I’m sure I will find more uses for it and some of the others on that website.
Hugs,

Thank you so much Matilde, for your comment. I love your blog too. What a wonderful day we live in that we can share ideas about the gospel with people from all over the world. I am excited to try some of the crafts on your blog. I especially like the Sewing Jar and am thinking about using it for February’s VT message on the Restoration.
Thanks for the great idea and templates. I took this to my sister today and it was a great discussion helper when I gave the message. You are inspiring!
I’m so glad this idea could help and am so pleased to know that it aided in discussion of the gospel. I have a strong testimony of the importance of visiting teachers like you, who are committed and dedicated to those they serve. Best wishes!

Hi, I just found this post on pintrest and would love to have the basket pattern but the site you referenced is closed. Could you share it?
Hey There,
I have redesigned it a little. I will get back to you later today.
