Family Scripture Study

Family scripture became really easy once all my children had learned to read. Now that baby can crawl, It has gotten caotic again. It made me wonder how I ever was able to study the scriptures with my little ones. Somehow we managed to get through the Book of Mormon, New Testament and partially through the Old Testament and D&C before they were both old enough to read. Here’s what I remember:
1. Scriptures on CD, or the Internet. While I rocked one child and the other followed along, we listened to the words of the scriptures via the internet and on CD.
2. There are also stories on the back of the pictures in the Gospel Art Kit and we would read them at night while the children tried to memorize the pictures. Then, we would quiz them periodically to see if they knew what the picture was about. Later, as they got older, I had them try to retell the story in their own words.
3. We have tried to always use scripture stories in their primary talks to get them use to applying them in their own lives.
