She Knows How to “Clean it Up”
So I substitute taught four of the most adorable Sunbeams in the world today. During closing exercises they were a little roudy. Perhaps they were a little hyped up on bananas, peaches and corn chips. (The lesson was on smell and taste.) I was a little embarrassed when the Second Counselor got up to announce the new theme. I was worried they wouldn’t hear the good things he had to say. He spoke of 4 things that help us to be happy. He first mentioned faith, and then I heard something about prayer, as I wrestled the little one to my right… and then he asked the primary what we should do when we do something wrong. To this, the student on my lap replied very quickly, “You Clean It up!” She WAS listening! I was so proud, I cant even tell you. Such a good answer – a reminder that repenting isn’t just saying sorry it is also making it right. (And I was worried about what I was missing in Sunday School!) So the first thing was faith, then prayer, the next repentance, and finally forgiveness. I think it is a great combination. But I might have to work on them one at a time.
