Letting go….of that baby fat!
Why is baby fat so cute on a pregnant woman, so absolutely adorable on the baby but once the new mom leaves the hospital the fat on her body is no longer considered cute at all? Of course my sister in law claims that she went home in her skinny jeans after all five of her children. Uh Nice! No one even told me that there may be a chance that I wouldn’t fit into my clothes right after the baby was delivered. I took my favorite outfit and I went home in the maternity outfit I got there with and it fit rather comfortably too! Whatever! It is time to let go of the baby fat, it just isn’t cute anymore, and the maternity clothes I’ve been wearing when I’m not wearing my husbands clothes just don’t look as good on a woman who isn’t pregnant and my husbands clothes look so much better on him. So here it goes,
Step 1. Clear my closet of clothes that do not fit.
Step 2. Fill my now empty closet with fashionable workout clothes that I love myself in, because then I will want to wear them and naturally want to sweat in them. And include some stunning church outfits because otherwise, I won’t want to go and sit in the nursing room all day next to the girls who when home from the hospital in their skinny jeans.
Step 3- Pump more milk, producing milk is suppose to burn calories, an estimated 20 calories per ounce and it takes no effort to do. Plus, I can freeze the milk to use on date night with hubby.
Step 4 – 30 minutes of loving movement a day. So I figure If I rock my baby, standing up for 30 minutes a day, I’ve lifted weights and done cardio!
Step 5 – The Bishop’s wife is a nutritionist and she has three tips that work for her: Never diet, focus on fiber (if it has a lot of fiber you’re safe) and don’t forget to drink your milk (She suggests 1%) So it is whole wheat bread and low-fat milk for me!
This is my master plan…wish me luck!
