FHE Weekly Toddlers and Teens

Tonight for FHE, we simply told a short story from the Friend magazine (for little friends), called “A Song for Grandma.” We took the pictures and cut them up, told the story, had the little ones put the pictures in sequential order, taught them a short, four sentence summary, with hand cues, and then had them try to retell it. We will practice this through out this week and by next Monday, they will be able to re-tell the story without help.

For the teens, our ds came up with 3 questions that would help us on our quest for fulfilling D&C 88:119.

“119 Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;”

1. What does a house of order mean to you?
2. If you have a house of order what what that look/feel like spiritually?
3. What is stopping us from having a house of order?

I’m excited about how these questions change the way we think about our home and our surroundings.
