So I’ve tried two new recipes since I started this whole fair-weathered-fish eating -vegetarian-word of wisdom thing. The first was the veggie burger. Now, I’ve had veggie burgers from the store and they can be absolutely amazing but the ones I made…not so much. They took me forever and didn’t taste anything close to what I remember. Today, I finally buckled down and tried to make Seitan, (or wheat meat). I baked it in the oven with a little BBQ sauce and well….it didn’t turn out like it did in the pictures and it resembled a creme puff more than it did chicken, and didn’t taste nearly as good as either. I have to say here that I’m a little discouraged, and a hot dog sounds mighty good right about now,but I’m not ready to give up completely. I really need some wisdom so the frozen cheese pizza will have to do until I learn how to do this.\u00a0 Ironic isn’t it? I am trying to live by the word of wisdom to gain wisdom but don’t have the wisdom to know how. (Not frustrating at all) Here’s to the day when I can make it look easy!
