Did You Pray?

Last night, I had the opportunity to watch the new Christian movie “War Room.” At the end of the movie a bible verse flashed on the screen. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14.

By all accounts and purposes, by the word of scripture and scholars and mathematicians and pastors, priests and Jewish leaders, we should have already seen the first phase of punishment, and the beginning of our own destruction. And yet, today, the stock market seems safe and the skies are filled with rain, cleansing the earth and putting out fires.

Did you pray? Did you fast with Glenn Beck? Did you humble yourselves, pray and seek a loving Heavenly Father? You Did?!! Me too! Thank you sisters!!! Thank you friends!!! It seems as though we have dodged a mighty bullet. He has heard our prayers and healed the land with much needed rain. God is good. God is merciful.

In the Old Testament story of Lot, God challenged Abraham to find 50 good men and He would not destroy the land…There must be at least 50 good people out there. I know you. I thank you. I pray for you too.

Genensis 18:26

26 And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

Perhaps the Lord spared me for your sake this month. We can not ignore the idea that we CAN prevent these things. That united, we can change the outcome. It is not enough to obey the commandment to get a year’s supply we must first obey the great commandment to love our neighbor as ourselves. Perhaps we were the fifty, perhaps there are many of us out there praying, repenting, fasting.

Is it over? Can we stop fighting for our freedom for our families and for our religion?  I am not taking any chances. Three days ago, I didn’t know how powerful my small prayer could be. Now, I know that my prayers are combined with yours that has made all the difference. I feel it. I feel you out there praying for your families, being kind to your neighbor and I feel the love you have for your Heavenly Father. We have those things in common, you and I, and together we can make good things happen no matter what crisis or catastrophes come our way.

Hugs,

Bianca.
